Consumers Cooperative of Berkeley – A Noble Venture

Sunday, May 15 from 3:00 - 5:30 pm

This exhibit will be closing on Saturday September 10

Discussion on the vision and struggles of the Co-op – 3:15 pm
Bob Schildgen will moderate a panel of former employees and co-op experts:
David Thompson, Vangie (Elkins) Buell, John Curl, Betsy Wood,
Harry Siitonen and Charles (Chuck) Robinson

The exhibit explores the positive spirit that built the most successful co-op supermarket in the nation.
The Berkeley Co-op pioneered consumer education and protection, ingredient labeling and unit pricing, and influenced Berkeley politics.

Regular hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 1-4 p.m. Telephone 848-0181.
Wheelchair accessible. Exhibit closes on September 24.
